If they’re old enough, ask them for their input and see what places spark their interest. When kids get to voice their opinions and have a role in planning the camper trip, they’re much more likely to enjoy the vacation.
Plan Kid-Friendly Activities
You’ll also want to make sure your trip is full of kid-friendly activities. While you might enjoy lounging quietly by the lake for hours on end, your kids probably won’t.
Most places offer a range of suitable activities such as museums, zoos, parks, playgrounds, a lake or pool for swimming, horseback riding, and so on. You can even give your kids a spending allowance and go souvenir hunting!
Make the Road Trip Fun
Many kids struggle with the long hours sitting in the car. Help them pass the time by providing a range of activities they can enjoy. Get them to pack along their favorite books, movies, and toys to enjoy during the drive.
